Where Legacy Lives. Where Leaders Rise. Where Service Never Stops.

Welcome to the official page of the Hattiesburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.—a chapter built on excellence, strengthened by sisterhood, and driven by an unwavering commitment to serve. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as Chapter President, and I am delighted to welcome you to a chapter where excellence is more than an aspiration—it is our standard. The Hattiesburg Alumnae Chapter is a place where women lead with courage, serve with purpose and compassion, and create meaningful change that extends far beyond our chapter into the communities we proudly serve throughout the Forrest and Lamar Counties.

For decades, the women of the Hattiesburg Alumnae Chapter have answered the call to lead, advocate, educate, and uplift. We are educators, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, public servants, business leaders, mentors, advocates, mothers, daughters, and friends. Though our backgrounds are diverse, our mission is singular—to make our communities stronger than we found them.

Everything we do is grounded in the vision of our Founders and carried out through Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

  • Economic Development - Building financial stability, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating pathways to generational wealth.
  • Educational Development - Investing in students, empowering lifelong learners, awarding scholarships, and expanding opportunities through education.
  • International Awareness and Involvement - Embracing our role as global citizens through cultural understanding, humanitarian outreach, and international partnerships.
  • Physical and Mental Health - Promoting healthier lives through education, awareness, prevention, advocacy, and access to wellness resources.
  • Political Awareness (Social Action) - Encouraging informed civic engagement, voter education, advocacy, and leadership that advances equity and justice.

These priorities come to life through innovative programming, meaningful partnerships, and a chapter culture that believes service is not simply something we do—it is who we are.

What truly distinguishes the Hattiesburg Alumnae Chapter is the way we invest in people. Through
Membership Services and Reclamation, we intentionally cultivate lifelong sisterhood, reconnect Sorors to the heart of Delta, and ensure every member feels valued and empowered. Through Arts and Letters, we celebrate creativity, preserve culture, and use artistic expression to educate, inspire, and unite our community. Through intentional Community Engagement, we build authentic relationships with schools, nonprofits, businesses, civic leaders, and residents because lasting change happens when communities work together.

One of the greatest treasures of our chapter is our
Delta Dears—Sorors who have maintained 62 or more years of dedicated membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. They are our living legacy. Their lives tell the story of unwavering commitment, courageous leadership, faithful service, and enduring sisterhood. Their wisdom continues to guide us, their example inspires us, and their presence reminds us that every generation has the responsibility to honor the past while preparing the future. We celebrate our Delta Dears not only for the years they have given to Delta, but for the countless lives they have touched and the enduring legacy they continue to build.

Whether you are a Soror reconnecting with the sisterhood, a community member looking to make a difference, a prospective partner seeking meaningful collaboration, or someone simply inspired by women who lead with purpose, you belong here.

This page is more than a social media presence—it is a window into the heart of our chapter. Here you'll discover inspiring stories of service, scholarship recipients, leadership development, social action initiatives, educational programs, cultural celebrations, community partnerships, and the remarkable women who continue to shape the future of the Pine Belt.

So don't just visit once—follow us on social media, engage with us, celebrate with us, and come back often. There's always something exciting happening in the Hattiesburg Alumnae Chapter, and we can't wait to share our journey with you. Together, we'll continue building stronger communities, empowering future leaders, and leaving a legacy of service that will inspire generations to come.

Fueled by Sisterhood. Driven by Purpose. United in Service.

With Gratitude, Service, and in Sisterhood,
